'The Craven Fault'
Bird Spirit confused by the steps of opposing belief systems:(mz)
Acrylic and ink on canvas.
100cms x 200cms x 7cms. (in two sections).

The title refers to the geological feature in North Yorkshire that is roughly deliniated by the A65 between Settle and Ingleton.
The fault not only marks the division between the Millstone Grit of Lancashire and the Limestone of the Yorkshire Dales, but also reflects a powerful demographic difference between these two physically related but quite distinct parts of the country.

NB: The hs version of this work is currently underway and I hope to have it up on the website before too long...
