Howard Selina's first exhibitions in 1972 after leaving the Royal Academy, were at Thomas Gibson's Gallery in Bond Street, and the Situation Gallery in Haunch of Venison Yard, just off New Bond Street...

The pieces at Situation were mainly earth-based paintings using soil from four different locations in Yorkshire... and the pieces at Thomas Gibson were very precise and literal life-sized drawings of the clothes I wore each day...
